Find your TV/Roku/Fire in the section under AirPlay 2 and click on it.
Your TV or Roku/Amazon device and your Mac will probably need to be on the same WiFi network. If you have a qualifying TV or a Roku or Amazon Fire TV you’ll be able to view your Mac screen on your TV by following these instructions. If you have a Roku or Amazon Fire TV you will also be able to use AirPlay 2 to stream content from your Mac to a TV screen as soon as the software update becomes available for those devices (it’s expected this summer). Once you have finished just click on the AirPlay icon and choose Turn AirPlay Off. You can now start playing the content on your Mac that you want to appear on the TV. So to System Preferences and choose Mirror Built in Retina Display to see if that helps, or try Mirror which should give you the best settings for the TV. If what you are seeing on the TV screen isn’t as clear as you’d like you can further tweak settings. Still in the Displays > Arrangement view drag the second screen below or beside the primary screen so that the placement feels logical to you. If you have chosen two separate displays you’ll want to arrange them in such a way as to make moving your mouse between the two screens less frustrating. Then you will be able to make these changes just by clicking on the AirPlay icon in the menu. To make further changes easier you can also tick the box beside Show mirroring options in the menu bar when available. This will stop the two displays from being the same (if you want them to be the same check the box beside Mirror Displays). In System Preferences click on Displays > Arrangement and deselect Mirror Displays. If you’d like to make changes open System Preferences. You can also change the resolution and other settings. You can change this if you would prefer to use the TV as a second screen, for example. 
You will now see your screen mirrored on the TV.Find your Apple TV in the section under AirPlay 2 – it may be named after the room it is located in, depending on how you set it up.Click on the AirPlay icon in your menu at the top of your screen (a rectangle with a triangle below).
Make sure your Apple TV and Mac are both on the same WiFi network – they need to both be connected to a WiFi network in order for the connection to be established (which is frustrating if there isn’t a WiFi network!). Plug your Apple TV into an HDMI port on the back of your TV.
